Rev. Knouse, thank you for your help during this times as we struggle to worship safely as well as honor our music traditions. I just shared this Youtube with my committee which is working to re-open our church for in-person worship. I wanted to ask you about having congregational responsive readings. Should group responsive readings be allowed? (We've used the "Reader 1, Reader 2" format before for in-person services.) Are there any other recommendations for group singing and choirs? In the summer we met in our Family Center using a hybrid format of Youtube hymns, Zoom attendees and people in person. Our Family Center allows for better air circulation as compared to the re-circulated air in our sanctuary. As the Covid-19 numbers decline, we want to return in-person worship and considering all safety requirements - masks, social distancing, air circulation and other ways to conduct worship safely. Do you have any other suggestions related to the musical portion of worship or resources related to this topic?
