Visiting the Moravian Music Foundation offices in Winston-Salem and Bethlehem and doing your own research is free. We are also able to assist you, free of charge by mail, email, or telephone when providing you with information from our catalogs and finding aids (“is there material on such-and-such topic?” for instance) or when your question can be answered in less than ten minutes.
However, if you need more substantial research to be done and you are unable to visit in person, research requests may be performed by the Moravian Music Foundation staff, within the staff’s available time as determined by the Director.
This research is billed according to the following rates:

Reproduction fee for publishing images from the holdings of the Moravian Music Foundation (per image) • $25.00
What constitutes “Research” is at the discretion of the Director in consultation with staff, and takes into account the extent of the effort and the amount of time involved. Even seemingly simple tasks of “providing information” involves research of holdings, locating, extracting, perusing, comparing, reviewing alternate resources, telephone calls, staff discussions, etc. Requests for items adds preparation, copying or scanning, packaging, preparing mail/addressing/posting, telephone calls, invoicing, etc.
Late Payment Fees
- A late fee of $10.00 will be charged after 30 days, $20.00 after 60 days and $50.00 after 90 days.
