A Year Apart
It has been a difficult year since the beginning of the pandemic.
Take a moment for peace and comfort in the midst of loss and sorrow.
Service of Memory & Hope
Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 7:00pm (EDT)
Let us breathe deeply and hold together all the lessons we have learned and the sorrows we bear after the past year. Join us for a time of reflection, prayer, and hope with our sisters and brothers from around the Moravian Church in North America as we mark the first year of “pandemic living.”
This interprovincial online service will include music, prayer and an opportunity to share losses and blessing brought on by our year apart. Our bishops and PEC presidents will also bring messages of reflection and hope during this commemorative service.
Memorial Meditation

We hope this simple tribute provides comfort and peace in the midst of grief and sorrow.
“O God of grace and mercy, our souls sing hallelujah, praise, and thanksgiving for your greatness. Your grace continually abounds even in the midst of our darkest moments. Thank you for your prevailing spirit dwelling in us and comforting us. In the name of our lamb who has conquered. Amen.” (Prayer from the Moravian Daily Texts, June 9, 2020)

Sleep thy last sleep, free from care and sorrow;
602A, Requiem
rest, where none weep, till the eternal morrow;
though dark waves roll o’er the silent river,
thy fainting soul Jesus can deliver.
