A story of a musical discovery that still has no ending.
The Gebauer Duos for Flute and Violin with Cello accompaniment (hence, Trios) – with a performance from the 25th Moravian Music Festival! Rev. Nola Reed Knouse, Ph.D., Director of the Moravian Music Foundation, leads us on a journey through Moravian history and offers us a glimpse at a few of the treasures residing in the archives in Winston-Salem and Bethlehem. Please support the mission of MMF to preserve, share and celebrate Moravian musical culture.
Richard B. Strattan says
I remember hearing about the collection (in Ephrata) and passing along the information. I also did the sorting in Nazareth before it was moved to the MMF archives in Bethlehem. The story is recounted in an article I wrote for the MMF newsletter at the time and was shared at one of the fall conferences in Bethlehem. How delightful to hear the recording!
