…our building is NOT situated “ON” Church St.;
it is set back and actually behind (east of) Cedarhyrst,
(historic Cedarhyrst is at 459 S. Church St. and is home to the Southern Province offices, the PEC, Commission for Congregational Development, Prov. Women’s Board, and Unity Women’s Desk)
We recommend you navigate to our parking area from the east. An easy way to find that entrance is to use the address: 500 E. Salem Ave. Or use this

Parking in Salem Fine Arts Center lot (highly recommended):
MMF has ample parking in our parking lot, at the east side of the building, and it is a bit easier to park and access the Archie K Davis Center. [ 8 spaces + 1 handicapped ] Shared with Salem College and God’s Acre.
To find this parking, you may find it easiest to type 500 E Salem Ave. Winston-Salem in your GPS system, to get to the parking area. Or, you may use 412 Rams Dr. which is the address for Salem College Elberson Fine Arts Center (with whom we share the parking lot).
From E. Salem Ave, turn west onto campus and Moravian God’s Acre. You will see Elberson Salem Fine Arts Center on the left and God’s Acre on the right. Keep straight to the end of the parking lot and turn right. The brick building, next to God’s Acre (with the cupola), is the Archie K. Davis Center – home of the Moravian Music Foundation and Moravian Archives. There are parking spaces for all visitors that say “Reserved for A K Davis Center.”
You may park on Church or Main St. in old Salem and walk through the portico of Cedarhyrst (the castle-like structure, 459 S. Church St.), which houses the offices of the Moravian Church, Southern Province. The A. K. Davis Center is directly behind (east of) Cedarhyrst.
The Archie K. Davis (AKD) Center
is home to both the
Moravian Music Foundation
and the
Moravian Archives (Southern Province) 336-722-1742 www.moravianarchives.org
A.K. Davis Center may be accessed through the doors on the east (lower level, center; the postern gates) or the south side (main floor) of the building. There is a ramp from the parking lot to the east entrance. Elevator inside.
